Artist Statement

Sandy Ryan has been a decorative painter for over 20 years. She started with classes at the Country Cabin in Dover, DE, painting first in oils, then acrylics. The acrylics afforded her the speedy dry time required to produce enough to start doing local craft shows. Over the years, she has grown in knowledge by taking classes from nationally-known decorative painting teachers; and now she is sharing that knowledge by teaching others the very-learnable art form. She now limits her shows to the larger, juried, artistic-type shows and does custom orders, paints items for gift shops and manages to provide projects for her art students. She now paints on wood, metal and glass, so if you have an old piece of furniture you want decorated, a set of wine glasses you want painted or a tin lamp that is crying to be painted, give her a call ... she'll do her best to accommodate your idea.
