Romanick Pottery started in 1994 with a passion for clay and the concept of combining a gallery with a working clay studio to create an intimate experience between artist and buyer. Paul and LaTonya Romanick, two potters equally talented in different areas of the ceramic arts offer a wide range of functional and decorative pottery. Dinnerware, pitchers, sea creatures and lizard mugs as well as coffee jars, sculpted pieces and wall murals are crafted with our combined skills.
Paul: "After throwing pottery regularly for sixteen years, I have mastered the ability to throw a wide range of shapes and sizes. I have learned how to put the clay through a metamorphosis in order to achieve the desired shape and wall thinkness of a pot. I still continue to push the limits of the clay and never settle for mediocrity."
LaTonya:"I'm a sculptor, molding and shaping the clay is the most exciting process for me. The piece is never totally conceived before I start working the clay. I design as I work, ever conscious of how the piece makes me feel. The process is my reward."
Romanick Pottery continues to grow offering unlimited possibilities for unique and handcrafted gifts. Innovative style, color and imagination bring the work to life, leaving the collector to provide his or her own appreciation.
