Artist Statement

I fell in love with the colors in fused glass art a few years ago and immediately bought my first kiln. Since then I've taken several workshops at Arrowmont School of Arts & Crafts in Tennessee and Warm Glass Studio in North Carolina. I've shown my glass art in local galleries and donated many pieces to charity fund raisers. These days my focus is on making sheet glass that can¹t be bought in stores. To do this I use many techniques: drip melt, pattern bar, hot combing, single fire blocks, texture plate, cold combing, and weaving. I enjoy teaching others the techniques of warm glass – I learn so much from students they design glass in ways I would never imagine.
