Artist Statement

My invovement in the arts has involved teaching in the public schools, painting covers for a national publication, as well as producing fine art for exhibitions and juried shows. Over the years I have developed several series that communicate aspects of my life and reveal my interests in history and architecture.My life as an artist has taken me to West Virginia where my work was accepted  in the prestigious Juried Exhibition at the Cultural Center in Charleston, West Virginia. I also served as State President of the West Virginia Watercolor Society where my emphasis was helping to establish exhibition opportunities for emerging artists in smaller communities. Most recently in Iowa my work was displayed at the Drake Law Shool and the Presidential Hoover Library in West Branch, Iowa. My most recent solo show was at Culver Stockton College in Canton Missouri, November 2007. My husband and I moved to Dover June 2008 when my husband became President of Wesley College.I am currently working on a website and gallery online and will pass that information on as soon as it is up and running.
