Artist Statement

I create unique, handcrafted art jewelry. I have been creating jewelry since 2004, with a concentration in wirework. While manipulating wire so that it is smooth and flowing remains my first love, recently I have begun creating more metalwork pieces. Through classes, workshops, and tutorials, exploring metals has encouraged me to grow as an artist. Most pieces are created using sterling silver, however I also enjoy the contrast of mixed metal pieces. I use techniques such as coiling, cold connections, soldering, and patinas to create one of a kind works.
Inspiration for my work is diverse. I am frequently inspired by my love for nature, but inspiration also comes in the form of color and/or texture, a particular stone, or even from other artwork.
My goal is to create a unique, comfortable piece of art jewelry using high quality materials.
