Artist Statement

For me, art is a venture into the unknown. There I search for the unusual, mysterious, extraordinary, grab hold of something and run out shouting excitingly to show off what I found. Sometimes people are excited to see what I have, sometimes not. Either way I will always return to unknown and search again.

About the Artist

Author/Illustrator/Artist Caryl Ekirch Williams, a graduate of Skidmore College with a fine arts degree and George Mason University with a MA in teaching, recently retired from teaching to devote her time to her art. The Words, a book with boastful illustrated words is available on Amazon/Kindle. Currently in her Lewes, Delaware studio she works on book projects, paints and creates handpainted trompe loeil pieces. Life you see is maybe better, Unreal.
